PRODUCTDETAILS
Carbide Square Bar
What Is a Carbide Square Bar?
A carbide square bar is a square-shaped cemented carbide product used for making cutting tools, tool bits, wear strips, shear blades, and custom tooling. Renyuan Mould supplies precision carbide square bars in various sizes and grades.
Square carbide bars provide excellent hardness and wear resistance for applications where rectangular cross-section tooling is required.
Properties
Carbide square bars offer hardness from 86 to 92 HRA, high compressive strength, and outstanding abrasion resistance. They maintain dimensional stability under heavy loads and elevated temperatures, making them ideal for cutting and wear applications.
Available Grades
Fine-grain grades are used for finishing and precision cutting. Medium-grain grades suit general machining and wear parts. Coarse-grain grades provide toughness for heavy roughing and impact applications.
Each grade is selected based on workpiece material and cutting conditions.
Precision and Tolerances
Square bars are precision ground on all four sides to tight tolerances. Dimension tolerances of plus or minus 0.01 millimeters and perpendicularity of 0.01 millimeters per 100 millimeters are achievable. Surface finish of Ra 0.2 or better is standard.
Applications
Carbide square bars are used for tool bits, cutting blades, wear inserts, guide rails, shear knives, planer blades, and custom ground tooling. They are essential in metalworking, woodworking, plastics processing, and recycling industries.
Custom Solutions
Renyuan Mould can produce custom square bars with specific dimensions, chamfers, hole patterns, or special lengths. We assist with grade selection and geometry to reduce machining costs.
Quality and Delivery
Every bar is inspected for dimensions, hardness, squareness, and surface quality. Bars are protected with anti-rust coating and packed securely. Standard delivery is two to four weeks worldwide.
