PRODUCTDETAILS
Tungsten Carbide Insert
What Is a Tungsten Carbide Insert?
A tungsten carbide insert is a small, precision cutting tool or wear component made from cemented tungsten carbide. Renyuan Mould supplies carbide inserts for cutting, stamping, forming, and wear applications in various geometries and grades.
Carbide inserts are widely used in CNC machining, tool and die making, and industrial equipment where replaceable wear surfaces are required.
Types of Inserts
We produce cutting inserts, stamping inserts, forming inserts, wear inserts, and custom-shaped carbide pieces. Standard insert shapes include square, triangular, round, and diamond profiles, with or without chipbreakers and coating.
Custom inserts can be manufactured to customer drawings for specific tooling applications.
Properties
Tungsten carbide inserts offer hardness from 88 to 93 HRA, high wear resistance, and good thermal stability. They hold sharp cutting edges for extended periods, improving machining productivity and part surface finish.
Available Grades
P grades are used for steel machining, M grades for stainless steel, and K grades for cast iron and non-ferrous metals. We also offer uncoated and coated inserts including TiN, TiC, and Al2O3 coatings.
Grade selection depends on workpiece material, cutting speed, and feed rate.
Applications
Carbide inserts are used in turning, milling, drilling, boring, and threading operations. They are also used as replaceable wear surfaces in stamping dies, forming tools, and industrial machinery.
Custom Insert Manufacturing
Renyuan Mould can produce custom carbide inserts based on customer drawings or samples. We assist with geometry design, grade selection, and coating options to optimize cutting or wear performance.
Quality and Delivery
Every insert is inspected for dimensions, edge quality, hardness, and coating adhesion. Inserts are packed in protective cases for safe shipping. Standard delivery is two to four weeks.
