Tungsten Carbide Mold For Metal Forming
What Is a Tungsten Carbide Mold for Metal Forming?
A tungsten carbide mold for metal forming is a precision tool used to shape sheet metal, bar, or tube through bending, deep drawing, flanging, or stretching. Renyuan Mould manufactures carbide forming molds that deliver consistent results in high-volume production.
Carbide forming molds outlast steel molds by providing polished surfaces that prevent galling and scoring.
Advantages for Metal Forming
Tungsten carbide molds offer excellent wear resistance, low friction, and high compressive strength. Polished carbide surfaces allow metal to flow smoothly without scratching or pickup, producing parts with superior surface finish.
Forming Applications
Our molds are used for deep drawing, bending, flanging, embossing, stretching, and ironing operations. They serve automotive body panels, kitchen utensils, cookware, battery cases, and electronic enclosures.
Die Components
Each forming mold set includes the die, punch, blank holder, and draw ring. Working radii and entry angles are precisely ground and polished. Custom geometries are produced per customer part drawings.
Grade Selection
Fine-grain grades with polished surfaces are preferred for forming to prevent galling. Medium grades handle general forming operations. Nickel-bonded grades are available for stainless steel forming.
Custom Mold Design
Renyuan Mould provides custom metal forming mold design based on customer part drawings and production requirements. We assist with die geometry, radius design, and grade selection.
Quality and Delivery
Every mold component is inspected for dimensions, surface finish, hardness, and visual defects. Delivery is two to four weeks worldwide.
