What Is YG11 Tungsten Carbide?

YG11 is a cemented carbide grade containing approximately 11% cobalt and 89% tungsten carbide. Renyuan Mould manufactures YG11 tungsten carbide molds for applications requiring good wear resistance with moderate toughness.

YG11 strikes a balance between hardness and strength, making it suitable for stamping and forming operations.

YG11 Properties

YG11 offers hardness around 88 to 90 HRA, good transverse rupture strength, and excellent compressive strength. It provides longer wear life than higher-cobalt grades while maintaining sufficient toughness for stamping and drawing.

Applications

YG11 carbide molds are used for stamping dies, drawing dies, forming tools, and wire drawing dies. They are commonly applied in sheet metal stamping, automotive components, hardware, and electronic parts manufacturing.

Grade Selection

YG11 is positioned between YG8 and YG15. It is preferred when wear life is more important than maximum impact resistance. For heavy cold heading or forging, YG15 or YG20 may be more appropriate.
