PRODUCTDETAILS
YG8 Tungsten Carbide Mold
What Is YG8 Tungsten Carbide?
YG8 is a widely used cemented carbide grade containing approximately 8% cobalt and 90% tungsten carbide. Renyuan Mould manufactures YG8 tungsten carbide molds for general-purpose stamping, drawing, and forming applications.
YG8 offers a balanced combination of hardness and toughness, making it one of the most versatile carbide grades in tooling.
YG8 Properties
YG8 offers hardness around 88 to 90 HRA, good transverse rupture strength, and excellent wear resistance. It performs well in both wear and impact conditions, serving as a reliable all-round grade.
Applications
YG8 carbide molds are used for stamping dies, drawing dies, heading dies, cutting tools, and wear parts. They are widely applied in sheet metal stamping, non-ferrous metal drawing, hardware manufacturing, and automotive component production.
Grade Selection
YG8 sits between YG6 and YG11 in the grade family. It is preferred when a balance of wear life and toughness is needed. For precision thin sheet stamping, YG6 may be better; for heavier impact, YG15 is recommended.
Custom Mold Manufacturing
Renyuan Mould produces YG8 carbide molds according to customer drawings or samples. We assist with grade selection and mold design to meet your specific production requirements.
Quality and Delivery
Every YG8 mold is inspected for hardness, dimensions, surface finish, and visual defects. Material certifications are available. Delivery is two to four weeks worldwide.
